Impact Test क्या होता है? Izod और Charpy Test में क्या अंतर होता है?
Impact Test एक ऐसा परीक्षण है जिससे किसी मटेरियल की impact energy absorb करने की क्षमता को मापा जाता है। जब किसी object पर अचानक जोरदार force या झटका लगता है, तो उसकी toughness का आकलन करना महत्वपूर्ण होता है। इस test का उपयोग brittle और ductile behavior को समझने के लिए किया जाता है।
Impact Test के उद्देश्य:
- Material की toughness को निर्धारित करना।
- Brittle fracture tendency का मूल्यांकन करना।
- Low-temperature behavior को जांचना।
- Welded joints और heat-treated parts की strength जांचना।
Impact Test के मुख्य प्रकार:
1. Charpy Impact Test
इसमें specimen को horizontal position में रखा जाता है और notch specimen के पीछे होता है। Pendulum द्वारा एक तरफ से टक्कर दी जाती है और absorbed energy को मापा जाता है।
2. Izod Impact Test
इसमें specimen को vertical position में clamped किया जाता है और notch specimen के सामने होता है। Pendulum notch की दिशा में impact देता है।
Charpy और Izod Test में अंतर:
