Press Working Process की पूरी जानकारी – Shearing से Drawing तक

Press working एक ऐसी metal forming process है जिसमें sheet metal को desired shape में convert करने के लिए press और die का उपयोग किया जाता है। यह एक high-speed production method है और इसे cold working भी कहा जाता है। इस process में कई operations शामिल होते हैं जैसे shearing, blanking, punching, bending, और drawing।

1. Shearing

Shearing एक cutting process है जिसमें sheet metal को दो parts में काटा जाता है। यह एक straight cut operation होता है जो upper और lower blade की मदद से किया जाता है।

2. Blanking

Blanking में metal sheet से एक desired shape punch की जाती है और वही piece (blank) final product के रूप में use होता है।

3. Punching

Punching में blank के विपरीत, hole निकालने का काम किया जाता है और निकाला गया portion scrap होता है। यह भी press और die से perform किया जाता है।

4. Piercing

Piercing भी punching जैसा ही होता है लेकिन यह high precision hole making के लिए use होता है। इसमें better surface finish और tighter tolerances मिलते हैं।

5. Notching

Notching में metal sheet के edge से material remove किया जाता है ताकि desired profile या corner बन सके।

6. Bending

Bending operation में sheet metal को किसी predefined angle पर मोड़ा जाता है। इस प्रक्रिया में die और punch दोनों का उपयोग होता है।

7. Drawing

Drawing एक complex forming operation है जिसमें sheet metal को press करके एक hollow या cup-like shape में convert किया जाता है। यह automotive और kitchen utensils जैसे products में इस्तेमाल होता है।
