Fiber Optic Communication System

Fiber Optic Communication System आधुनिक Telecommunication Technology की सबसे महत्वपूर्ण प्रणाली है। इसमें सूचना (Information) को Light Signals के रूप में Optical Fiber द्वारा एक स्थान से दूसरे स्थान तक भेजा जाता है। Optical Fiber Communication उच्च Bandwidth, कम Signal Loss तथा High Speed Data Transmission प्रदान करती है।

आज Internet, Mobile Networks, Data Centers, Cable Television तथा Long Distance Communication Systems में Fiber Optic Communication का व्यापक उपयोग किया जा रहा है।

Introduction

परंपरागत Communication Systems में Copper Cables का उपयोग किया जाता था, लेकिन उनमें Signal Attenuation, Electromagnetic Interference तथा Limited Bandwidth जैसी समस्याएँ होती थीं।

इन समस्याओं को दूर करने के लिए Fiber Optic Communication विकसित की गई जिसमें सूचना को Light Pulses के रूप में भेजा जाता है।

यह प्रणाली Total Internal Reflection के सिद्धांत पर आधारित होती है।

Fiber Optic Communication System is a communication system in which information is transmitted from one place to another in the form of light signals through optical fibers.

वह Communication System जिसमें सूचना को Light Signals के रूप में Optical Fiber द्वारा भेजा जाता है, Fiber Optic Communication System कहलाती है।

Principle

Fiber Optic Communication System Total Internal Reflection (TIR) के सिद्धांत पर कार्य करती है।

जब प्रकाश Core में उचित Angle पर प्रवेश करता है तब वह Core-Cladding Interface पर बार-बार Total Internal Reflection करता है और लंबी दूरी तक Travel करता है।

Transmitter Electrical Signal को Optical Signal में परिवर्तित करता है।

3. Optical Fiber Channel

Optical Fiber Transmission Medium का कार्य करती है।

यह Light Signals को Source से Receiver तक पहुँचाती है।

4. Optical Receiver

Receiver Optical Signal को पुनः Electrical Signal में परिवर्तित करता है।

मुख्य Components:

• Photodiode
• PIN Diode
• Avalanche Photodiode (APD)

5. Destination

यह अंतिम स्थान होता है जहाँ सूचना पहुँचती है।

1. Information Source से Electrical Signal प्राप्त होती है।
