Casting process में hollow या internal cavities create करने के लिए "Core" का उपयोग किया जाता है। और इन्हें बनाने के लिए जो molds use होते हैं, उन्हें "Core Boxes" कहा जाता है। इस ब्लॉग में हम Core और Core Boxes की पूरी जानकारी सरल भाषा में समझेंगे।

Core क्या होता है?

Core एक hollow object होता है जो mold cavity के अंदर रखा जाता है ताकि final casting के अंदर voids, holes या complex internal structures बनाए जा सकें। Core मुख्यतः sand से बनाया जाता है और इसे mold cavity में एक specific position पर रखा जाता है।

Core बनाने के लिए कौन-कौन से Materials Use होते हैं?

Core मुख्यतः silica sand से बनाए जाते हैं, जिसमें कुछ binders और additives मिलाए जाते हैं ताकि strength और collapsibility मिल सके। Common binders में linseed oil, molasses, resin आदि आते हैं।

Core Box क्या होता है?

Core box एक special mold होता है जिसमें sand भरकर core बनाया जाता है। यह एक pattern की तरह ही होता है लेकिन hollow sections को create करने के लिए design किया गया होता है। Core box को wood, metal या plastic से बनाया जाता है।

Core Boxes के Types

• Split Core Box: दो हिस्सों में बंटा होता है, जिससे core आसानी से निकाला जा सके।
• Dump Core Box: Simple open type core box जिसमें sand dump करके core बनाया जाता है।
• Shell Core Box: इसमें thermosetting resin sand का use होता है और heat से curing की जाती है।

Core Setting कैसे होता है?

Core को mold cavity में set करने के लिए chaplets या support structures का उपयोग किया जाता है ताकि वो molten metal के pressure में move ना करे। Core print की मदद से भी core को सही position पर रखा जाता है।
